Office2000 Self Pace Training

Microsoft Office 2000 Professional is a suite of programs that lets students create and manage written materials, publications, databases, spreadsheets, and Web pages.  It is the new exciting productivity suite that makes the Web work for students to enhance learning and increase productivity.

Microsoft Word 2000

Provides everything you need to produce professional-looking documents, communicate your ideas, and share information with others.

Beginner

Students are presented with the basic feature of MS Word2000. The topic covers are:

Opening word from window; getting around word; selecting icons more efficiently; right clicks; personalized menu and toolbars; save and salvage your work; Fix mistakes; page setup; work with templates; customized your default text format; Creating templates; auto correct and auto format; shortcuts printing options…

 

Intermediate

At the end of this course, student will learn the followings:

Designing custom templates; collect and paste; the clipboard; review; bulleted lists; numbered lists; Outline numbered list; font command; format painter & repeat command; formatting a table; adding and deleting columns; splitting & merging cells; decimal & leader tab stops; manipulating data etc.

 

Advanced

At the end of this course, student will be able to do the following:

Insert page brakes; use the Drawing tool bar; add and position clip; work with heading and styling stools.  Learn keyboard shortcuts; use hyperlinks, vertical alignment, and page orientation. Reformatting and adding test into multiple columns etc  

Microsoft Excel 2000

Makes it easy for you and your students to build spreadsheets and then use, share, and analyze the data, as well as provide reports and present the data graphically.

Beginner

Students are presented with the following:

Excel workspace, cells; how enter text, numbers and dates in a worksheet; format date, edit values, change fonts, color and alignment; resize columns and rows; create backgrounds and borders; merge cells; how to use the sum function; add new values to a chart etc

Intermediate

Microsoft PowerPoint 2000

This course allows student to organize, illustrate, and present their ideas in a multimedia presentation. It gives students the tools to communicate with impact, whether in the classroom, to parents, or to colleagues.

Beginner

This course will introduce student to the Microsoft method of creating outlines; inserting new slides and organizing slide. Preparing and building a presentation; preparing workspace, creating, manipulating, and formatting objects.  Students will also learn how to change format, rotate, flip and zoom objects; use of clipboard and more

Intermediate

Students are presented with intermediate course of MS PowerPoint2000. Topic covered include:

Creating and manipulating text boxes, formatting; finding and replacing text; formatting paragraph; formatting pictures; building, and formatting tables. Inserting and formatting slides and WordArt etc

 

Advanced

In this course students are presented with advanced feature of PowerPoint2000. Topic covered include: Slide transition, text and object animation; buttons navigation, and saving a presentation as a web page. Students will learn how to change a presentation sound, video, animated GIF’s, run custom shows; rehearse timing, record narration; import and save outlines and more.  

Microsoft Outlook 2000

This course provides an integrated desktop for students to use to contact other students, parents, and colleagues and to organize and manage their e-mail correspondence, calendar, contacts, and tasks.

Beginner

This course present s student with the basic features of outlook 2000. Student will learn how to create a new e-mail, send e-mail, receive e-mail; customize e-mail; organize folders and components; controlling e-mail, junk E-mail etc.

Intermediate

Students learn how to add new contact phone number in outlook, send e-mail to contact; delete contact; create new group, create personal address book; student will be able to work with calendar functions; appointment management event; share calendars; put calendar on the web; net meeting; assigning a task; accepting a task and more

Advanced

This course presents the advanced features of Outlook 2000. The following include the topics covered: Designing forms; setting up remote access synchronization; offline folders; performing synchronization; Composing a new fax, receiving faxes; making and reviewing entries; mail merging; integrating outlook with other office applications; subscribing to newsgroup etc

Microsoft Access 2000

Beginner

Student will learn the basic features of Access such as creating database; understanding & comparing tables; creating an attribute table, lookup table, queries, forms, measures table, reports and more.

Intermediate

At the end of course, student will learn how to design a database; import & export a table; customize field definitions; create new query, modify query, update query and delete query. In addition student will be taught how to manage a database and improve a database design…

Advanced

Student will learn how to create report in design view, link reports to queries; converting text boxes to labels; create report groupings, form details; enhance the layout of a report; displaying data in a chart. Student will learn to use macro builder; splitting database; creating switchboard, hyperlink; exporting queries to HTML document; and tips for the certification test.

Microsoft Publisher 2000

This course helps student create eye-catching newsletters, flyers, brochures, programs and more

 

Beginner

This course will allow student to have a better understanding of how to work with publisher templates, work space, pages, manipulate frames, inserting text & elements; using the template wizard, color scheme, editing text, logo, fitting text to columns; using blank publication, inserting a graphic etc.

Intermediate

This session will allow student to be able to create subheads, shortcut; control line break, tracking & kerning, hyphenation. Student will be able to work better with cropping & resizing, format cells, adjust table; electronic white out and more.

 

 Advanced

At the end this session will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of how to format printer, replace pictures using the clipboard, how to clipart from the web; create web site using publisher; navigation & interface; automatic conversion; mail merge etc

FrontPage 2000

Beginner

At the end of this course student learn about creating new web page using template, web wizard; adding & formatting text, Word documents; manipulating graphics. Student will learn how to navigate and edit table, merge cells, verify and modify code and much more

Intermediate

After completing this course student will be able to modify, share borders and navigate bars; adding banner, applying a theme to a web site, publish a personal web server, publish to an intranet; how to manage a web site; adding a hit counter to a web, adding an Excel spreadsheet, and other effects.

Advanced

In this class student will learn how to create an empty web, import pages, edit frame contents, modify forms; student will learn how to build custom forms, databases integration; assign task, check in and check out, security permissions and more

Ms Photo Draw 2000

 Beginner

At the end of this lesson, the students will be able to do the following:

Open PhotoDraw, view and work with blank picture screen; work with templates and wizard; use the standard toolbar; access the work place, inserting pictures and files. They will also learn to crop, resize and position graphs; creating and editing text etc

 

Immediate

Upon completion of this course, participant will be able to understand the use of hue, tint, negatives; work on picture transparency, shadows, 3-D, rotate & tilt, and designer effects. Student know how to lock picture guides; how to save by file type; specialized saving; commercial and in-house printing etc

 

Advanced

This course present students with advanced feature of PhotoDraw2000. Course includes: Distorting images, customizing setting; inserting clipart from the clip gallery, adding images to category and do visual inserts.
